Zeppelin School and Baraka School in Tanzania launch school partnership
Thousands of kilometers away and yet united in thought. With this message, Zeppelin School is launching a school partnership with Baraka Pre & Primary English Medium School in Tanzania. The announcement of the agreement on cultural exchange and the will to stay in contact with each other was sealed with a symbolic handshake by Mr. Knittel, the chairman of the association Kinderhilfe Kilimandscharo e.V. and Mr. Paul, the vice principal of Zeppelin School, on Friday, 28 June 2024 as part of the elementary school’s Federal Youth Games.
The school community at Zeppelin School is looking forward to learning more about the school in Karansi, which is currently under construction, and about the living conditions of the people there, as well as to personal contact with the pupils who go to school there. The Zeppelin School will donate the proceeds from the sponsored run following the Federal Youth Games to the Baraka Kinderhilfe e.V. association in order to support the school there financially.
We as an association are very happy about the start of the school sponsorship. We are very excited to see what will come of it. We will be on hand with help and advice wherever we can.

Invitation to our info events
For years you were used to the Baraka Association informing you about the development of the aid projects in Tanzania together with Rev. Amedeus Macha. Then came the Corona pandemic and we had to do without these meetings in the parishes. We are happy that we can now revive this tradition after three years. The newly elected chairman Martin Knittel will report in Schmiden and Oeffingen in a picture lecture about the current status in the hospital St. Monica and about the construction of our Baraka School.
You are cordially invited to the
Open Community Meeting on Thursday, 17.11.2022 at 2 p.m. in Schmiden (first Mass in the church, followed by a talk in the Maximilian-Kolbe-Haus) and to the
Coffee afternoon on Sunday, 20.11.2022 at 2 p.m. in the parish center Oeffingen.
The Baraka School in Karansi is scheduled to start operating the kindergarten in January. However, we still lack the last financial means for the extension of the classrooms and dormitories as well as the kitchen. We therefore kindly ask for your support on our donation account

Invitation to the celebration of the word on the “Sunday of World Mission”
“I want to give you a future and hope.” Jer 29,11
This is the message God sent through the prophet Jeremiah to his people Israel in Babylonian captivity. The text was chosen as the motto for this year’s “Sunday of World Mission”. In Kenya, the target country, people live in the middle of slums, shaping the future with hope with the little they have.
In our city, the Baraka association is active in projects in Tanzania.
We want to give these stories of hope a face and cordially invite you to the
Celebration of the word
on Sunday, 23.10.22, 10:30 a.m.
in the church Maria Regina
afterwards bazaar in favor of Baraka
The collection is intended for the tasks of Missio.
After the mass, the association “Baraka – Kinderhilfe Kilimandscharo e.V.” will offer cakes for a donation to support their projects. In addition, books and sheet music from the estate of our church musician Rita Ermer, who died last year, will be offered.
Rita Ermer founded the association Baraka (= blessing) in 2017. She also relied on the missionary power of music here with us and in Tanzania.
Cake to go on Sunday 03 July 2022
The association Baraka Kinderhilfe Kilimandscharo is still active and the hospital and school are constantly growing! After the family service on 03 July at 10.30 am in Maria Regina we offer cakes to take away for a donation. We sweeten your afternoon coffee and your donation helps with the expansion of the buildings. Every Euro counts and is welcome.
